Light Is Growing — Even Now

This past week in Florida was deeply impactful for me — not because of any single moment, but because of the thread of meaning that gently wove it all together.

It began with two days at the Be Great! Network Awards and Ceremony, a gathering devoted to recognizing truly impactful work in the nonprofit space. I was invited to host, to speak on several panels, and to close the event by interviewing the founder, Bryan Gallinger.

In a world that often celebrates noise over substance, this gathering felt like a sacred pause — a reminder that quiet, consistent service still matters.

I was honored with the Quantum Master Award, and our YU2SHINE CMO, Phil McClure, received the Altruist Award. I genuinely believe there is no greater recognition than being acknowledged for serving something larger than yourself. Awards fade. Impact doesn’t. LOVE doesn’t.

Midweek brought a beautifully human contrast.

On Wednesday, Randy and I chose play. We spent the day at Universal Epic Universe, the newest Universal park, and rode Stardust Racers four times (yes… four 😄). Speed. Laughter. Presence. Joy.

It was a gentle reminder that lightness is not a distraction from purpose — it is a restoration of it.

Then Friday and Saturday, I attended Speaker Pro, hosted by Roddy Galbraith — my very first speaking coach. Returning to that room felt like coming full circle. Surrounded by speakers refining their craft, polishing one another’s messages, and sharpening truth with humility… I was reminded that mastery is not about arrival, but about devotion.

There were meaningful takeaways. New connections. Old wisdom remembered. And an absolutely delightful, miraculous dinner with a dear friend, client, student, and Quantum Freedom family member, Zsuzsha.

And through all of it, one truth became unmistakably clear:

While there is undeniable darkness in the world right now, there is also a growing brightness of light.

Not performative light.
Not loud light.

But the kind of light that shows up.
Serves quietly.
Plays fully.
Speaks truthfully.
And keeps choosing goodness — again and again.

That is the light I choose to stand for.

And I see it in you, too.
